Introducing the latest venture from the team behind the award winning Indian restaurant Nutmeg, Nadu. Nadu brings a slice of Sri Lanka to the epicentre of Bristol’s cultural quarter, Stokes Croft.
Bringing a fresh perspective to the heritage of our owners Raja and Saravanan, offering you traditional Tamil cuisine with a modern twist and a menu of innovative cocktails and expertly selected rums all served in a vibrant atmosphere in the epicentre of Stokes Croft.
Nadu showcases honest food full of exotic flavours, using local produce and traditional Tamil techniques from our head chef and co-owner Saravanan Nambirajan. The cuisine traditionally uses the fruits of the land (Nadu translates to land); from the staple vegetarian dishes to fresh fish and expertly cooked meat dishes. Tamil food is based on the concept that food shapes the personality, mood, and mind; something we firmly believe and aim to reflect in our menus.

This festive season we’re doing what we do best, by bringing you vibrant, Sri Lankan and Tamil dishes, banging cocktails and our signature laid back Nadu vibes, all without a single Christmas tune or slice of turkey in sight.
With plenty of space for groups of all sizes, we’re the perfect spot for team lunches, after-work festive drinks, or feasts full of flavour. We can cater for larger groups of up to 22 guests on one table, or for smaller groups you can get stuck into great food and drinks set to a soundtrack of fresh and funky house and disco beats in our cosy booths.
For larger parties we can cater to up to 150 with exclusive hire of our entire venue. Inspired by our owners’ Raja and Saravanan’s heritage, our food brings you a true taste of Sri Lankan and Tamil cuisine, through a range of punchy, delicious small plates, sharing dishes and larger plates, with a huge range of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options alongside a vibrant
cocktail menu, featuring an impressive array of rums and spirits from around the world.
